BYgo is a light planning tool for photographers, built and operated by Taushik Mandal, based in Barcelona, Spain. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

What we collect
Email address If you sign up for the BYgo weekly digest or create an account, we collect your email address. We use it to send you the content you asked for. Nothing else.
Usage analytics We collect anonymous data about how people use BYgo: which cities are searched, which features are used, how long people stay. This data is aggregated and not tied to any individual. We use it to understand what is working and what needs improving.
Cookies BYgo uses cookies for two purposes: to keep the site functioning correctly, and to understand how people find and use it. You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work correctly if you do.
Adobe Lightroom CC integration
If you choose to connect your Adobe Lightroom CC account to BYgo, we request read access to your Lightroom library via Adobe’s official OAuth API. This allows BYgo to display your photos within the dashboard.
We do not store your photos or any photo file data on our servers. We store only an access token and refresh token provided by Adobe, which are used solely to retrieve your library on your behalf. These tokens are stored securely in our database and are never shared with third parties.
We also store your Adobe catalog ID, which is a technical identifier used to locate your library. This is not personally identifiable information.
You can disconnect your Adobe account at any time from the Lightroom pane in your BYgo dashboard. When you disconnect, your tokens are deleted immediately from our database.
BYgo’s use of Adobe APIs is subject to Adobe’s own terms of service and privacy policy. We only request the minimum permissions necessary to display your library.
What we do not collect
We do not collect your name, location, payment details, or any sensitive personal data. We do not sell data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.
Who sees your data
Your email address is stored securely and is only accessible to Bygo team. We do not share it with anyone.
Analytics data is processed through third-party tools (such as Google Analytics or similar). These tools receive anonymous, aggregated data only.
Your rights under GDPR
You are based in or visiting from the European Union, which means GDPR applies. You have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you
- Ask us to correct or delete your data
- Withdraw consent for email communications at any time
- Lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@bygo.app. We will respond within 30 days.
Data retention
We keep your email address for as long as you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we delete it within 30 days. Analytics data is retained in aggregated form with no personal identifiers.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we collect or use data, we will update this page and note the date at the top. We will not make material changes without notice.
